11th-12th Century Iran. Boat shaped bowl with human head and animals. Stonepaste; molded, opaque white glaze. H. 3 3/8 in. (8.6 cm) W. 4 3/8 in. (11.1 cm) L. 6 3/4 in. (17.1 cm) Wt. 6.2 oz. (175.8 g). Accession no. 63.159.3.








Late 11th - Early 12th Century Iran. Stonepaste; molded and pierced, monochrome decoration under transparent glaze. The auspicious words “glory, prosperity, blessed power, and mercy to its owner” are inscribed in cursive script on this bowl, while the kufic inscription reads “Made by Hasan al-Qashani.” H. 4 1/4 in. (10.8cm) Diam. 6 1/4 in. (15.9 cm) Wt. 11.9 oz. (337.4 g). Accession no. 68.223.9.





Late 11th - Early 12th Century Iran. Stonepaste; molded and pierced, monochrome decoration under transparent glaze.
